The Victoria and Albert Museum is London’s largest museum of arts and design. The museum covers 12.5acres and 145 galleries representing more than 3000 years of human creativity
The museum is FREE to visit and is opened daily from 10 am – 5.45pm apart from Fridays when it opens its doors at 10 am and closed at 10 pm. The museum is closed 24th, 25th, and 26th December.
The museum was founded in 1852 and was named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Museum was actually the first museum to have a public restaurant and the first to have interior gas lamps that enabled work in the evening and public night visits. Today it boasts an enormous collection and will take you a few hours to really see everything. A few visits are recommended if you want to see everything in all of its galleries.
