Lyric Hammersmith also known as The Lyric Theatre is located in King Street, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.  It first opened in 1895 and then rebuilt in 1979.  Today the original Victorian auditorium is now housed in a concrete cube just above Kings Mall shopping centre. From a recently multi-million pound makeover it now has a cafe, roof garden, and bar. It is one of the UK’s leading producing theatres and has hosted hundreds of top performing arts over the years.

The theatre has two main performance areas, the Main House holds 550 seats and maintains the original design and hosts its main productions.  There is also a 120-seat Studio which houses smaller productions.
